Air Fryer Honey Roasted Almonds
Air fryer honey roasted almonds are addicting and delicious. Sticky and salty-sweet, this yummy snack comes together in just minutes, with only four simple ingredients.
Honey-roasted almonds are one of my favorite snacks. I love a little bit of a sweet treat in the afternoon with my coffee (really any time of the day…), and I always feel good about having a handful of honey almonds. This easy recipe is made in the air fryer with raw almonds, honey and sea salt, for a super simple sweet and salty snack.
This recipe is one of the reasons I love my air fryer! The air fryer is the best way to roast nuts. Hot air circulates around all sides, giving them a nice even roast in under ten minutes. Move the nuts to a cookie sheet to cool, and you have perfect healthy snack in no time. The honey mixture does make these nuts a bit sticky, so if you are taking them on the go, make sure to bring some wipes!

Ingredients
For this easy snack, you will need:
- Honey
- Hot water
- Raw almonds: I haven’t tried any different nuts in this recipe, but really any raw nuts should work. I think raw peanuts or cashews would be yummy in this recipe. Just keep a close eye on the cooking time, as nuts can burn fast in the air fryer!
- Kosher salt or sea salt
Make it your own!
- For a fully sweet almond (not salty-sweet), try substituting the kosher salt for a dusting of white sugar or coconut sugar after the almonds are cooled.
- Add about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to your honey mixture for a yummy air-fryer cinnamon almonds recipe. The cinnamon adds a little bit of spice and a delicious smell to the cooking almonds.
Instructions
Step One: Preheat the air fryer to 350 Degrees F. In a small mixing bowl, mix the honey with the hot water, and stir to combine. Stir almonds into the honey mixture until they are well coated.
Step Two: Arrange the honey coated almonds in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray. Roast the almonds for five minutes. Give the almonds a good shake, and then roast for another 1-2 minutes, until the almonds are lightly brown and fragrant. Be careful to keep a close eye on them after the 5-minute mark, they burn easily!
Step Three: Move the cooked almonds to a cooling rack or baking sheet, and let them cool for 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle with kosher salt or sea salt.
Storage
Store these nuts in an airtight container in a cool place for up to a week. You can also put them in the freezer for longer storage. The nuts are sticky (that honey!), so they might start to form clusters as they are stored.
