Air Fryer Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
Air fryer prosciutto wrapped asparagus is a simple and delicious appetizer or side dish. With only two ingredients, this easy recipe feels fancy but comes together in minutes.
I love a recipe that is deceivingly easy. This crispy prosciutto-wrapped asparagus makes a pretty and elegant appetizer. It feels kind of fancy and special, maybe not something you’d eat every day. And yet… this is probably the easiest recipe I’ve posted so far on this blog.
With only two ingredients (yes, two!!), this air fryer asparagus recipe could not be simpler. Fresh asparagus spears are wrapped in salty prosciutto and cooked to tender perfection in the air fryer. The slices of prosciutto get nice and crispy, and give the asparagus tons of savory, salty flavor. These spears of asparagus are a classic appetizer for your next dinner party. They make great finger food, served with some blackberry balsamic vinegar dressing or creamy horseradish aioli dipping sauce on the side.
This vibrant vegetable also makes a great easy side dish. It is the perfect accompaniment to a holiday meal, and easy enough for the weeknights too. Try serving this with creamy sun dried tomato pesto chicken or a hearty arugula burrata salad for a complete meal your whole family will love.

- The air fryer is a great way to cook prosciutto wrapped asparagus – the hot air from all sides makes for super crispy prosciutto.

Ingredients
For this easy prosciutto wrapped asparagus, you only need 2 simple ingredients!
- Fresh asparagus stalks: Look for thin to medium-sized stalks of asparagus. Very thick asparagus will take longer to cook, and the prosciutto may burn.
- Prosciutto slices: You will cut each piece of prosciutto in half before wrapping it around the asparagus. So, however many asparagus stalks you have, you will need half that many slices of prosciutto for this recipe.
Instructions
Step One: Wash and dry the asparagus. Trim the woody ends off of the asparagus spears. Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise, so that you have two long strips of prosciutto from each slice.
Step Two: Wrap one prosciutto slice tightly around each asparagus stalk, starting at the bottom of the stalk and working up towards the top. The prosciutto should be somewhat sticky and wrap around the asparagus easily. Cover as much of the asparagus stalk as you can, leaving the head of the asparagus exposed.
Step Three: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer in your air fryer basket or tray. Cook for 6-7 minutes, stopping halfway to flip the asparagus. If your asparagus is thick, you can add an additional 1-2 minutes, just watch carefully to make sure the prosciutto doesn’t burn. The asparagus should be tender, and the prosciutto nice and crispy.
