Bell Pepper Chili  with Ground Turkey

Bell pepper chili with ground turkey is a delicious, healthy and colorful meal. Full of lean protein and veggies, this will become one of your go to chili recipes!


– 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil – 1 medium onion diced – 3 bell peppers seeded and diced – 2 cloves garlic minced – 1 pound ground turkey – 2.5 tablespoons chili powder – 1 teaspoon cumin – 1 teaspoon paprika – 1/2 teaspoon oregano – 2 14.5 ounce cans tomato sauce – 2 14.5 ounce cans petite diced tomatoes with the juice – 2 15 ounce cans black beans drained and rinsed – 1 cup water – Kosher salt to taste (approximately 1.5 teaspoons)

Step 1

Gather the ingredients. 

Step 2

Cook onion and bell pepper in olive oil until crisp-tender.

Step 3

Move veggies to the side and add ground meat. Cook until fully browned.

Step 4

Add seasonings and stir to incorporate. 

Step 5

Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and beans.

Step 6

Stir together and bring to a simmer.

Step 7

Simmer chili for about 20 minutes, and serve!
