Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes

Whole wheat banana pancakes are my favorite homemade pancakes. These sweet and fluffy pancakes made with white whole wheat flour are a perfect healthy treat for a lazy Sunday morning!

ingredients

– 1 ½ cups white whole wheat flour – 2 tablespoons sugar – 2 teaspoons baking powder – ½ teaspoon baking soda – ½ teaspoon kosher salt – ¼ teaspoon cinnamon – 1 medium overripe banana peeled and mashed – 1 large egg – 2 cups buttermilk – ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – 3 tablespoons butter melted

Step 1

Gather the ingredients. 

Step 2

Mix dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mash the banana.

Step 4

Add the remaining wet ingredients to the banana.

Step 5

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.

Step 6

Stir until well combined. 

Step 7

Pour 1/4 cup batter into a heated and oiled skillet.

Step 8

When bubbles form, flip the pancake and cook until done.

Step 9

Repeat until all pancakes are cooked!
